It's sometimes most welcome,
It's sometimes damn scary,
It's sometimes for the better,
It's sometimes for the worse,

It sometimes strengthens bonding,
It sometimes shatters love;
It sometimes mends attitudes,
It sometimes seeds mean ones;
It sometimes cements your faith,
It sometimes makes a mockery of it;
It sometimes gets you to focus on your goals,
It sometimes won't let you concentrate.

It sometimes strengthens you as a person,
It sometimes shatters you as one,
It sometimes makes you dream starry-eyed,
It sometimes jolts you harshly out of your dreams...

How unfair then, that it is always around!
